Defensive Driving - University Vehicles

Approximate time: 2 hours

Required: for anyone who drives a university vehicle, or anyone who drives a personal or rental vehicle on behalf of the university, is required to take this course at least once every three years.

The course is sponsored by the National Safety Council and includes such common driving problems as making pre-trip inspections, driving in adverse conditions, differences between cars and vans, stopping distances, dealing with other drivers, city driving, highway driving, rural driving, safety belts, pedestrians, and collision reporting procedures.  This is classroom instruction only.  A check of the attendee’s driving record is also required.
