The attacks of September 11, 2001 produced some new Department of Transportation requirements addressing hazardous materials that are shipped. University Police, employees of Mellon Stores and the staff of EH&S all have activity in the University’s plan to provide security for hazardous materials shipments and are required to be trained in the elements of the program.
