Communications Blurb for Pandemic Planning Web Site
CAMPUS COMMUNICATIONS
Carnegie Mellon is committed to keeping its community informed of
emergency situations that arise on campus including public health issues that
can affect the well being of students, faculty and staff. Pandemic influenza
poses a potential threat that the campus must be prepared to address. The
university's emergency response team will communicate with members of
the campus community throughout the planning process and in the event of a
pandemic by providing information and directives to assist you in your
personal preparations and response.
Information and directions will be disseminated through several
communications channels, so you are encouraged to stay alert and
responsive to important messages from emergency response team personnel.
News will be posted to the Carnegie Mellon Web site,
the Web Portal, and the official.cmu-news and
cmu.misc.news bboards. Email will also be sent to all members of the
campus community.
Stay alert, be responsive and be safe!
